look at almost any magazine cover. do some googling. you will see somethings like rule of thirds and stuff like that.

8, 9 and 11 are the best in my opinion...but i'm not photog.

I was reading about it a little bit. This blog helped me understand. Its got pictures of the same objects in good composition and bad.
