Kennedy Space Center today!!!
Going over for the day. Taking the GF, it'll be her first time there and seeing a lunch up close.
Launch is scheduled for 7:55pm. Theres a 70% favor for launch, looks like it'll just be cloudy so I hope once the sun comes up and heats us up it'll clear some of the cloud cover. And theres a 20%, chance of precip this morning/afternoon, and 10% tonight, so that looks decent.
This'll be a fun experiment shooting the shuttle at night. But I'm sure it'll be easy cause damn thing is like the sun! I'll have it at f/8 probably and go from there...Wish I had another body so I can have the wide angle ready to go to get a long exp of the whole arch it makes!
Here are the pics, a few for now that I did real quick.

If I weren't working, you could grab my D50. What time do you leave?

FUCK THAT!
Took us around 6 hours to get back to Tampa. Took us almost 2.5 to get there.
NASA/KSC need to figure out a better way to get people out of there and back to I95, 407, 417, and 528. FUCK! Didnt get home till almost 2:30 this morning. And my body is SO sore, I had stick shift right now, and wanna get rid of my car haha My feet are still cramped.
Anyways, time there was fun, the gf was a little confused with most of the stuff, what it was exactly and what it does, but she enjoyed it. The drive leaving, kinda ruined it for both us cause it made it seem not worth the time. Honestly it sucked sitting in first gear for 4 hours of <= 5mph traffic.
Pics are loading now so I'll get em up soon...

That's the only thing that sucks about a launch. Can't wait to see 'em.
