Help Removing Watermark?

Hey, I have two pictures from Getty Images that were taken at James Dungy's funeral.

My best friend was Robert "Alex" Espinola, the pallbearer with the glasses on. I'd like to remove the watermark but I'm not sure how...any help would be greatly appreciated!

You could. Id try and find the photographer who took it and see if he can send you a copy without first

Contact the photographer. Do not remove his watermark. Its copyrighted for a reason.

I don't plan on redistributing it or using it for any commercial purposes...Alex was my best friend and now he's dead, and ever since he died I've been gathering all the photos I can find of him.

The last time I was in this forum, I was asking for help cleaning up a cell phone picture of Alex. I'd appreciate it if you'd be as helpful now as you were then.

Google "Getti images" and try to find the photographer

I understand and im sorry to hear that but the photographer put a watermark their for a reason. Theirs plenty on people on hear that can do it but what you have to understand its copyrighted and it would be illegal to just remove his watermark.

It's also illegal to download music, but the authorities don't really care unless you're redistributing it in exchange for goods or services.

I just want to be able to add this picture of him in my collection, especially since it was such a big part of his life...and his death. I already have this picture from when they showed up in James' mom's car:



But it's an old picture, and it's blurry...though I'll admit they do look like they're having fun.

Please do not do that. I work for Getty at times and that completely unethical. if you kindly ask, they may give it to you for free. It would be far worse if i found out that someone stole my image and removed the watermark. The damages are up to $10,000 per image, on top of legal fees, and of course Getty would win. So please i plead to you again, do not try and remove teh water mark. Contact Getty's image director and ask for it, low res and outline what you want it for. Worst comes to worse they may charge you 5-10 bucks for teh usage

I've already contacted Getty. I told them the photographer's name, event, and name of the picture I want and why I want it. I'm still waiting on an answer, though...
