Off to Hawaii

As some may know, my dad is a pilot for Continental and his schedule lately has been over to Honolulu. So I figured I'd go with him. Last time I went was my freshman year of HS. This trip is all about taking PICS!!!

Its a VERY quick trip, some may think its stupid to do such a thing but I dont care, I love flying and wanna get away. Leave TPA tomorrow morning at 7, get to Newark around 930. Leave there around 130, get to Hawaii around 615 their time (1115 ET). Then spend the day there on Thursday and leave Thursday night by 8, and fly ALL night back to EWR landing around 1130. Its gonna be rough but I'll make due.

We're renting a car for the day ($37 not bad!) and gonna drive all around the island, go to the North Shore (season doesnt start till Nov but there should be decent surf starting up) and then going to the pineapple fields and to Diamond Head. So I plan on getting some sick shots hopefully and I'll post them when I have time to finish editing and so forth. Wish me luck!

Finally a test for your D300 and setup! One day should be plenty. It's like as if you lived one day in Hawaii and have memories to bring in return. Have fun! Don't get jet-lag!!!!! Oh yeah join the mile-high club if ya can lol, the ladies love a man with a long lens!

i have family in honolulu visited them like 5 times lol i love it there its so peaceful and calm uh i want to go back so bad!! since your driving around the island try stopping in at Matsumotus Shave Ice (cant remember how to spell it) and take some shots possible its basically a landmark there and deff get a shave ice they're amazing have fun

So far almost 200 shots just from the flights yesterday. With my dad flying, the IRO pilot (3rd/backup pilot who they switch off with) enjoys photography stuff and I actually let him use the camera while in the cockpit on departure, in flight, and on landing. He wasnt the greatest with the camera as hes not exactly sure how to use it, but he did considerably well well and I cant wait to get them finished and posted so you all can see what my dad sees on a daily basis!!!

Um, we're about to go watch the sun rise on Waikiki beach and then go exploring the rest of the island. I'll post later but i'll be REALLY late for you all, as its just now almost 6am here. We leave tonight at 8pm, 2am ET, and get in to Newark around 1130 on Friday morning. I'll keep updating when I can later.
