how is this camera compared to a Sony Cybershot H7? i can get one for 200 w/ case, card, and all. im looking at getting a camera but really dont know what to look for

I can't say how it compares, since I have never used a H7... let alone seen pictures from one. I just looked up the model and it has a further zoom (12x vs 15x) and more MegaPixels (6MP vs. 8.1MP). The H7 is a newer model so I'm not surprised it is more capable, but other than those two things they have the same features. I think it comes down to if you like Canon or Sony better lol.

I'm not going to "add" anything considering I am not competing with him. His is a DSLR, mine is a Point and Shoot. Totally different camera = totally different price.

It's no problem lol. If your really serious about getting into the whole photography thing, I would recommend getting btuner's D40. Many say it's a good DSLR to start out with. If your just look to mess around with stuff but not be as serious then my camera is ok too.
