Airfest pics
well went out to airfest today and i was standing next to thing guy with an xti and a 70-200 with a 2x on it. we started talking and then he goes here use this. he hands me a tamrom 28-300 to use for the day
. loved the lens, some came out blurry cause i have never used a zoom lens but here ya go guys.

thanks man i wanted to get some clearer ones of the jet but its hard to focus on that dam thing at full zoom lol i was practicing with the seguals since they are not as predictable as the jets

yeah i took 600 something, but i didnt take any shots of like the little planes flying because i have enough of those from Sun N Fun...I got a lot of good wide angle shots of the big cargo planes too!
i just wanted the fighters

Not Happy! ~> I woke up to edit pictures and as Matt said ~> It was really hard to focus on a Jet that was going 700+ MPH at full zoom!!!
What I thought was going to be a great shot (Sound Wave) ended up being Blurry!

of course its against policy to do it. but they can "push the envelope" and what happens here is that being close to the speed of sound parts of the plane are going supersonic. but yes, the plane is one piece, however areas of the plane and surfaces where air is rushing over become supersonic, going from point A to point B over the surface hence we see this effect...

Yes but wouldn't you think that the rule isn't about one specific portion of the plane? Breaking the sound barrier is breaking the sound barrier whether you do it with a wing tip or the fuselage... right?
