That list is numerically correct, but practically speaking: useless.
What you have to consider is the viewing distance. If you print a picture at 4x6" you would likely view at less than arms length. If you print at 8x10, you might view at arms length, but again probably a little closer. Once you move to 11x14, you're going to view at arms length or greater. Take it to 16x20 and you will have a hard time holding it, so you'll be farther away. Starting to see a pattern here? Bigger prints are viewed from farther away. You can print quite large without real visible degredation. With that being said, 20x30 is probably as big as you'll want to go with a 6mp camera. 8 and 10 will increase the size you can print, but not a whole lot. |

Give you a little example.
A billboard. If you were less then 10ft away from it, you wouldn't be able to see what was on it. The pixels are so far apart. Now from 50, 60, 100ft away, it looks perfect because you are viewing it from further away. Make sense? |

poster size is a good size. I know ppl were doing smaller poster sizes out of the older SLRs, like 6 megapixels. There is a new program out now from alienskin called blow up and they say you can make pictures 3600% bigger with no loss.

Have you ever tried it Mars? Both printers I use warn about upsizing. They always say to just let their machine resample. Just curious, I didn't even know such a program existed until I read their warnings.
