I appreciate the help Holly, I will check over the site when I get home tonight and do a little more research on the HG10 before I take the "leap" up (price wise) to the XH-A1. I normally shoot my events with a Canon 20D but I would like to actually gather some good video footage now, I am the type that does not settle for anything short of amazing. I appreciate the help, thanks!

Sorry TR and Kirk... didn't want to start another thread...LOL!
I know this is a old thread... But I myself am wondering the same thing...BUT W/O THE DEEP POCKETS of Kirk and the rest of u ballers!!!! I am in the market for a Hi-Quality in every which way and manner for a POINT N SHOOT digi cam... These are the ones I have been looking at so far... Further help would be much appreciated!!!!
1.) Canon 10mp PowerShot SD790 IS (slimmer Higher MP...critics say "Hi-Quality! BEST PIC TAKING Point n Shoot cam!")
2.) Canon 8.0mp PowerShot A590 IS (which is on the bulky side...But critics rave about quality and performance)
3.) Canon PowerShot SD100 IS 8.0mp (just seems to be a all around awesome cam for the mid-range avg. cost $200.00)
LET ME KNOW...HELP!!!! What else is out there as far as BIGGEST BANG FOR THE $$$$!!!???06 Acura TL (Base Model): Too many mods to list

This thread is about video cameras and you're asking about cameras. Make a new thread.

That is what I was tryn to avoid... ONE SIMPLE KNOWLEDGABLE answer would have done me fine since I know there are basic to pro photographers here... Thanks!

They got me when I was shopping for my wide-angle.
It's a bait/switch technique. Bait was the $500 price tag, then they called after I placed the order and let me know that was for the fake "gray market" lens. So, I switched to the Canon USA lens and paid the extra $200. I'll never buy anything from them again.

I'm sorry, I don't understand why you're upset. You asked your question in a topic that has nothing to do with what you want to know - and even though you've now received more than ONE SIMPLE KNOWLEDGEABLE answer in your other thread you're still asking questions. It takes more than one post/answer, and this thread is about VIDEO CAMERAS - it only makes sense to make another thread.
WTF mate?
