I remember seeing a website awhile back, it had a suction cup camera. Stuckto almost anything, and it had good quality. Loads of good reviews also. I remember seeing a video where they stuck it on the side of a motorcycle, on the tank, side of a car, front bumper. It was crazy. I will try and find it again, I just happened to stumble upon it one day.

What exactly are you trying to achieve, ie where are you trying to mount the camera? Are you trying to buy a rig or just a suction cup mount? I've been doing a lot of reasearch about this lately.

if video look in to a suction cup one. IF stills look in to a rig. I am working on a design for one, but no one wants to share secrets.

Most people use Manfrottos cups and super clamps with a tripod. If you're looking for something more versatile, use the cups and super clamps with custom poles.
You said you had a rig in mind... I hope it's not the automotive-rigs.com rig.

I go borrow my buddies minivan and lock the slinding door open. then rachet down my tripod with the rachet tie downs from my car trailer and strap myself in the passenger seat next to it and let some one else do the driving. I'm not sure if its legal but its as safe as I can get it without having to reach outside the car to push the button to take the picture. I'm buckeled in and the camera aint going anywhere with 2 6000lb straps holding it in place inside the minivan.

These are what I wanna do. These are some old photos from like late 04 or early 05 at a drift event. I was borrowing a friends sticky pod, but I want something that lets the camera come out a bit from the car to get more of it. It basically needs to be able to mount to the side of the car, the hood or the trunk, come out 6" or so, have a pivot point then another few inches or so to the camera plus a pivot and swivel point there as well.

I got one in my car, my boy custom fab'd it up for me for my b/day, all I have to do is drill a hole in it, and mount my tripod to it (the top half that has the swivel thing on it)... I'll take pics of it soon.
