Opinions on NAPA paint?
I will be shooting my Supra's engine bay gloss black. This is my first time ever using a paint gun. I plan on practicing on extra metal I have laying around before I even touch the engine bay.
I live down the street from a NAPA that will mix paint. Does anyone have any opinions on their primers, base, and clear?
I will be using DeVILBISS StartingLine gun. 1.3 for base and clear and 1.8 for primer.
Any opinions? It is just easy to run down the street to get paint when I need it.
But if its not worth a damn... then nevermind, lol.
Thanks

since nobody else wanted to chime in after over 40 views i guess i will, not good paint or clear, primer....... eh. it might be easy to go down the street but, you have a lot of stuff that will get spilled in the engine bay, i/e oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid, ( which is very bad on fresh paint ) and so many other things falling on it like wrenches and such, what i am getting at is you want a good paint that dries good and hard and cures the way it should, NAPA does not sell as much paint as a auto paint shop and therefor they do not rotate there stock as much and that means that their base is not as fresh and anyone that knows automotive paint will tell you that it does have a shelf life once opened.
hope this helps and good luck!

FUCK PPG!!!!!!look dude, there is nothing wrong with the paint napa sales.that paint is the same as shrwin williams, ultra 7000.they use the same reducers as ultra7000(basecoat stablizer)the primers are all the same shit, and the clear is a really nice clear.i have it on two of my cars, including the one in my avatar, and sig.so don't let these guys run your wallet.if you need help hit me.

yes it does have a shelf life but in alaska where I did paint work for 8 years napa was the most popular place to get paint mixed, there was a few other places but they gave the cheapest prices and had good products, the shelf life there was short because they sold like hot cakes, here I am not so sure because well like everyone says who knows how much they sell and you do not want something that has been sitting around, their stuff is good quality though, and I will be going to them in about a month when I paint my car.

im grown but yea bitch i got batman bedsheets
