Tell me about Matte paint.
Well,It's time to finally do something with my Yukon..
I'm going to paint it myself,and use a matte color,probally a blue,MAYBE black,just wanna be a little different.
I have heard it's more complicated to do a matte job, than a regular paint job. What's the process on it?
Pointers?and which paint would you recommend?Tampa Racing-Home to 32,581 Retards, and 13 Smart People. This site will never be what it was.

well depending on what your looking for exactly I would HIGHLY recommend using Hot Rod Flatz paint. It sprays well and covers great! It is very reasonably priced and holds up GREAT.
It is a bit different to paint a matte finish vs gloss because the panel has to be prepped beyond perfect. And you have to be really careful when spraying because you cant wet sand and buff any mistakes you make off the panel. what ever comes out of the gun is it. there is no fixing it without re-shooting it. dirt and dust are there for ever.
We painted my friend Dave's 30 Model A with their copper pearl color and it looks awesome, pictures do it no justice. It is his daily driver, and it still looks as good today as the day he painted it(granted it was only a year ago now). There are people on the HAMB that sprayed there car with this stuff 3 and 4 years ago and they still look fresh.
here are a few pictures of Dave's Model A

Eh,I'm not the vinyling type..not my thing.Plus for the size of my vehicle, painting would probally be cheaper.
