Cleaning rims

I was wondering what was the best way to clean grease from painted wheels. My cv boot was torn and now the inside of my rim is covered in crap. Can anyone recomend a cleaner that will cut through it without damaging the clearcoat/paint.

are they spary painted or aftermarket wheels if they are spary painted i would just use a good amount of dish soap or carwash soap and a lil bit of water basiclly a high consontraite of soap if u have the aftermarket painted ones then u can us meguires wheel cleaner or some simple green but if u use simple green make shure u dilute it 50/50 water....best bet is to go to one of those self service carwashes they have a decent pressure behind the wands thats what i would do..if i didnt own my own detailing biz..lol.......V.I.P. Get a good degreaser.

Pressure wash it first, whatever does'nt get off with that, grab a rag and some degreaser..Spray the wheel with water, then degreaser to somewhat dilute it,then get to scrubbing.

Simple Green. It's the best cleaner ever. Straight or dilluted. It pulls brake dust and grease off your wheels and tires, and gets back your whitewalls or raised white letters on sidewalls.
