i had the same problem, i just used a good black carwax for my car (which is black) and a crappy buffer from autozone, i dont know if they make a yellow car wax haha, but that's my suggestion. i used to detail and if you used a buffer that had a cutting pad on it, it will make those swirl marks...make sure you use the correct pad if you decide to buff it.
that's the only thing i can think of, but i know there are swirl mark removal products out there...i've tried those before and they didn't work. just my .02 |

magiliars (horrible spelling) scratch x worked well for me. A very light polishing compound followed by a good coat of wax will do the trick as well. not cheap wax or youll be back almost where you started.

Honestly what you are going to need are a few things, these items can get pricey real quick.
For starters, how bad is your swirls from one to ten? I would sudgest buying Menzerna Intensive Polish Menzerna, Final Polish Menzerna , and, Menzerna Finishing Glaze. You don't tehcnically need these but the Menzeran products will only boost your look after the swirls are gone, it'll also help the process of removing the swirls. 12 oz. XMT Fine Swirl Remover #2 12 oz. XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1 I would only use these to remove the first signs of aging – such as mild to moderate swirls, mild scratches, and light hazing – to maintain the crisp, reflective finish. Now you could also buy and mix and match, but also you have the option to buy other removers too! Depending upon how bad your swirls are and or if you have scatches, this will do the trick. I used this on many clients vehicles and the results speak for there self... I used the mcquirers scratch x and the results are better then what it was, anything is better then what it was just at but XT products are just speechless... Here are the other ones you can get: 12 oz. XMT Heavy Duty Swirl Remover #4 12 oz. XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1 This is good for, If your vehicle suffers from severe oxidation, swirls, and scratches. The break down for each product is listed below, which each product does and what its key points are. XMT Heavy Duty Swirl Remover #4 is a true compound. It eliminates oxidation, severe swirls and scratches with a blend of abrasives, cleaners, and lubricating oils. The cleaners help remove dead, oxidized paint while the abrasives level scratches and severe swirls. The oils help lubricate the abrasive particles to minimize hazing, though some hazing is expected and easily removed with the next step, XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1. ** Because of the strength of XMT Heavy Duty Swirl Remover #4, we recommend that you apply it with a white polishing pad. Only in extreme cases should a orange light cutting pad be used ** 12 oz. XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1 This polish is made with such small abrasives that you can’t see them with the naked eye. The sheer number and minute size of the abrasive particles blend away fine flaws in the clear coat without leaving any trace of surface marring or haze. Just like a fine jeweler’s rouge, XMT’s Concentrated Micro Abrasives leave the paint finish glossy and smooth, just like new. XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover is for like-new paint that is just starting to show signs of age. It can also be used as a finishing polish after XMT Heavy Duty Swirl Remover #4. 12 oz. XMT Fine Swirl Remover #2 Pinnacle XMT Fine Swirl Remover is a blend of mild abrasives and lubricating oils that remove light to moderate imperfections on aging paint finishes. If your vehicle is not new but has no severe paint damage, this is the swirl remover for you. It removes light to moderate imperfections like swirls, mild scratches, and light oxidation without reducing surface gloss. You will not need a finishing polish. 12 oz. It can also be used as a finishing polish. I also highly suggest that you buy or use a Porter Cable 7424. I have all the products and supplies to get the job done. If for some reason the tips the other guys have gave you don't work and you want it done right, I'll do it for you. I won't charge you a dime, I just hate seeing cars with swirls and it not being done right. Theres a right and wrong way with everything. Here are a few steps you can follow if you use the products I had told you to use. Use the products as follows: Start by misting the orange pad with Pinnacle XMT Polishing Pad Conditioner. On significant swirls and flaws, apply XMT Fine Swirl Remover #2 with the orange pad. If damage is concentrated in particular areas, like the hood and roof, you may only need to apply this product on problem areas. Buff off residue after each section using a Cobra microfiber towel or bonnet. Apply XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1 with the white polishing pad. You can do an all-over polish to remove the lightest imperfections and improve surface gloss with this gentle swirl remover. Buff off residue after each section. Your paint should be in great shape at this point. I hope my two sense helped... If you have any questions please drop me a email or a PM. I'll respond back in 24 hours, thanks! you HAVE to polish after you buff. Buffing cuts the paint to get out any imperfections your car has, but at the same time leaves swirls. Take a buffer with a polishing pad (foam) and either new car glaze or polishing compound (NOT cutting compound) and polish your hood. It'll look better than new
