Simple question about interior painting

and no I don't mean Dashes and panels.

Im gutting out my car and I was wondering? Do you put a clear coat when painting the inside of the car? Since my car is a convertible its possible that leaks may work its way inside the car...What about the trunk as well.

My car has various channels to guide water to drains

Thanks

Well you can if you want. Id just prime it well and put base or single stage over it to cut costs.

If you're talking about under the carpet and such... no I wouldn't. Exposed panels and sills def. clear coat, but I'm not to familar with the interior of your car.
