Need to clean Headllight Lens

well i checked to see if there was a topic made but i couldnt find one. anyways my headlights are starting to get foggy and oxididing (sp?). i heard theres a place in town that cleans them for you, and if so how much is it because i heard it can be anywhere from 70-100$. if thats the case i think midas can replace my lenses for new ones for like 100$ which i would rather do instead of buffering out old ones. anyways, any help is much appreciated +++

they sell a headlight cleaning kit at advance that i used on my old car....worked great!!! consisted of some wet sanding, polishing and wiping off....i think it was around $20-$30

If you have a Sams Club membership I believe they do this service for like 40 bucks? My friend did this on his '98 Prelude and his headlights came out brand new!

mine get foggy and wet on the inside im gonna have to open them, clean, and reseal them and then see if i can seal the little rubber piece that has a hole...but i use 3M rubbing compound they sell it at autoparts by the paints, its a little grey bottle, u just apply to a dry cloth, wipe your lense so its covered in it, wait about 30-60 seconds, and with a clean cloth rub out with some elbow grease put into it and youll see all the green/yellow crap come right off and leave it nice and minty

Wax, Brake fluid, repair kits, etc. only last so long before the lenses turn right back to crap again.

PM OldSchool98 for a permanent fix.
