what a tool. I love this site.....
we were just stating that your buddy is drastically over charging some one to skuff up some lights and add some black basecoat to some clear. We in the business knows what it takes to do what you are stating. thus, our comments about your pricing.
Don't be mad if you got ripped off. Its cool it happens to everyone at least once in your life.

Here is some pics if what I did today....

stock light

One coat

Two coat

Three coats
You can see that I can make them as light or as dark as you want them....and for a lot more cost effective than some people out there

Nice job HFS!
I do lights for 100-125. By the time you get adhesion promoter, And i do it three stage, colorless blender plus jet black, and the clear and bake. Any thing less then a hundred is not even worth get the spray guns dirty.

The only right way to do it. Seen some lights out there that looked like someone vomited on. Use only Global series base coat with Hi solid clear, and bake them. Like I said any less might as well not bust out the guns or subcontract to someone else.
