I see, now can you elaborate on these other guidelines?

elaborate on which guidelines specifically? i have an entire binder of standard operating procedures for georgia and also a couple binders for our company physical damage standards, ect.
if you want to ask a specific scenario, i can give you an answer. just don't write an entire page of a bunch of questions, one at a time please!

Oh, ok How about what insurance company is this? That these guidelines are for?

I just have a few main ones i would like to know

-Dings, dents, cave ins etc, How does your company tell you to write for these judgement times? Did you ever have a pie tin?

-When do you write for A/m parts, are they considered 1st? if the vehicle is eledgable?

-Frame repair, what are your guidelines for estimating the repair times on frames, and is there a "cap"

progressive, sorry, thought i said that before!

    (for reference only)
    judgment time for repairs:
    - for complex appearance areas; damage < .5 sqft; golfball size= about 1 hr, softball size= about 2.5 hrs. for non-complex areas, subract .5
    - examples for complex appearance damage > .5 sqft; .5ft= 3hrs, 1ft= 4hrs, 2ft= 5hrs. for semi-appearance cut in half and for non-appearance take another .5 off.
    - examples for non-complex appearance damage > .5 sqft; .5ft= 2hrs, 1ft= 3hrs, 2ft= 4hrs. for semi-appearance cut in half and for non-appearance take another .5 off.
    - again, above is reference that i personally use as a starting guide, i will add/subtract time depending on depth/shallowness of damage.
    - nope, no pie tin!

parts eligibility depends on the vehicle yr and mileage:
    - vehs that are no more than 1 model yr old and less than 12k miles; new oem or reconditioned oem parts only.
    - vehs that are no more than 3 model yrs old and less than 36k miles; new oem, used/recycled oem and reconditioned oem parts only for replacement sheet metal and plastic body parts. for other parts, new oem, used/recycled oem, reconditioned oem and aftermarket parts.
    - vehs more than 3 model yrs or more than 36k miles; (all fair game) new oem, used/recycled oem, reconditioned oem and aftermarket parts.
    - claims reps can use discretion on above on case by case basis and only if needed for indemnification.

    frame time:
    - 2 hrs setup and measure. then 1.5 hrs each for first 3 components and 1 hr for each additional if needed.
    - cap....well, that would be when i'm writting it and it totals on me!

all of above is for reference only and are how i write, not specifically the company i write for. each estimate is different and written using my own discretion.
