sanding/ preping

What are the proper procedures to sand and prpe a bumper for paint. what grit to use what motion things like that. thanks mike

I'd say 400 to 320 sand paper...(Sand out any chips) humm what primer are you using? Kinda hard to say it would be better if I saw the bumper...
