minc oil on car interiors?

Anyone ever heard of someone using minc oil on the interior of a car? my boss does and i have never heard of it? good? bad? otherwise? input is appreciated and will be repped. Also anyone have a very good method for cleaning the carpets in a car?

yes Mink oil works great on leather goods.
