LoveBugs questions..
What is the best way to protect and remove those pesky things. I have been told every thing from Pam(cooking spray) to WD40.
The reason i ask is because I can't wash/wax my car every day so the guts have to sit and bake on till i have some freetime. Now the best thing I have found to remove the guts is a clay-bar , but then that takes off the protective wax which makes even more work having to reapply more wax. Man this sucks! What do the pros suggest? |

best thing is to go onto ebay order a roll of the clear automotive plastic...
its what they make the "clear " bras out of . Cut the pattern for your hood and front bumper.. clean the bumper with some kind of citrus cleaner i use generic "clean orange" the citrus oil cuts the crap.. then take your plastic cut out place them on the car drive for a month untill love bug season is over then peel off and throw away... my dad does this with his corvette works like a charm but he does it once a week...during love bug season... learned it from going to corvette shows and seeing it on cars and asking what was it and they told him and he does it now its clear and you cant even see it unless up real close |

I'm not sure what can be used to protect the car,.....But to get the bugs off easy, I can suggest Bounce Dryer Sheets.
They won't scratch the paint, They smell really good, and they are just abrasive enough to get the acidic bugs off of your paint without killing your shoulder. Just wet them up and Begin the removal...... |

We spray off what we can with the hose first, then spray on some Orange Blast, let it sit for about five minutes and start scrubbing with a wash mit inside a pair of nylons. This works great for us, also we make sure to wax the front end and mirrors after every wash. Also RainX helps a lot on the windshield.
