snapped coilover information needed
I've discussed this w/ a few of some of yous on here and now here is an actual picture of my problem at hand. What part is this that I need replaced...if it's replaceable. A few told me that it's the sleeve but this doesn't seem to be a sleeve to me. Pretty sure some one can help me.
It's a Megan
You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windshield, it said 'Parking Fine.'

need a new cartridge essentially. your going to have to send it back to megan or k&w or whoever can rebuild shocks. so they can rebuild it, and have it done right. i imagine someone wil say weld it back together or you can use this rod outta this shock and so on, but at the end of the day knowing that you wheel isn't going to fall off is a good enough reason to have it done by the manufacturer

if you havent been in a small plane its worst, cause your eyes and brain say we are moving and your body says oh no we are not. eyes and brain go asshole we are moving, cant you see? body says fuck you we are not moving at all. so they fight and fight and eventualy your body says, you know what fuck you brain, see if you can stop this!! then you throw up.

This.
If it is just a beater drift car, then have that thing welded back up and run it til it falls apart again.
Otherwise, it needs to be fixed the right way.
There is a guy, screenname is Treekiller. I know he rebuilds shocks at his shop. Haven't seen him post for a while now, but i imagine his still around.
yeah, sounds right.
and considering that they are just megan's... you might be better off just replacing the whole thing..

You cant just weld it back, its the shock shaft, its hollow, the adjuster runs through it, it would cost more in work than just another el cheapo shock, to replace your busted elcheapo shock.
Its knockoff crap, theres a reason they just sell the entire damper rather than service parts.
