does anybody know of a local shop that carries a variety of seats I'm looking to try a number of seats before buying one

that would be pretty cool wouldn't it.
but alas, I have never come across such a thing and the one shop that did have a couple of seats, it didn't do any good since they didn't have rails and weren't mounted in the car... the seat might be awesome in one car, with one set up and then totally blow balls in another. only way I found to test out seats was either buddies or at decent car meets if the owners were cool with it.

I'd buy some R32 seats just to stay with all Nissan stuff. Plus they bolt right into S14s. There are quite a few JDM importers on the web if you search Google. Trust me, that's all I've been doing all night trying to find a set of 17x8 35mm wheels to fit my '95 S14.

I'll give you that, r32 seats are pretty sweet, BUT, in my opinion, there are many other just as good, if not better, options for a lot less coin.

There is a super street story on seats. Should be able to find it online. they compared many seats & different sized guys by height and weight & each guy ratted how they liked it.
