Except... IIRC that the .5 Liter less in the 1J is achieved with a shorter deck height from the block casting... therefore... even if you change the internals... ie. rods, pistons, crank.... with 2J components, you will not create a 3 liter, and with less deck height, the piston speed will actually be higher and the rod/ratio will be under square.... Therefore, the stock 1J block may be more revv happy, but TQ handling breakpoint will still be higher with the 2J...

Deck height is now part of the equation for displacement, this thread is officially full of win

This is going to turn into a tangent.....

The lsx series can make power as we all know but a "v" design brings a whole new bag of issues to the table. They also start lifting heads around the 700whp mark.

I still love them and have had the itch lately.
