Some pics of my track car - SXOC Bulletin Board

Quote:
Hi there,
I thought it was about time i put up some pics of my track car now that its finnished.
We took these yesterday after i finally got it running and managed to get it out of the garage under its own power!

Its taken 3 years of hard graft to get it to this point and i never thought id see the day, so i was more than happy!!

I had thought about having a project thread from the beginning, as i have hundreds of photos from during the build. But then i would never have time to work on the car would i.

Im sure it will not be to everyones taste, but for me its function over form.
It is a pure track car, it will never see a public road and will never be road legal.

Since then i have fitted the front screen back in, it sits on foam and uses little ally tags to hold it in (nascar style). This way it is easy removable and shouldnt crack.

Also gave it a little polish this morning, and now im bored with nothing left to do on it!

Its booked in with APT in 2 weeks for mapping, and after that im going to try get a couple of trackdays in to get some setting up done before winter.

I just saw that on Fresh Alloy. I find it funny he did all that work and is using Tien Flex's with Ksport springs. I wish he would of gone more in depth about his suspension, I see some things that are a bit lacking for a build that extreme.

Overall a really neat build. Looks like cross between DTM and JGTC cars!

Here's a cut and paste of my snide remarks about the engine setup on the NissanRoadRacing forums....

Head package and turbo are a mismatch, but that could be fixed with a smaller ar exhaust housing. I'm having a hard time figuring out what's going on with his fuel system, which is complete overkill for a 350whp setup. Who recircs a speed density setup then leaves the valve cover vents unhandled? A temp switch in the upper rad hose and ProfecB specII? His S14 PFC should handle both of those functions.

But hey, he's got a pedal box and a fire system. It must be a racecar!

The work looks top notch, though. It's just going to suck when he shows up at Silverstone and gets worked by a bolt-ons GTi-R.

Lol, All true points. He does talk about not really messing with the motor untill he has the rest of the car set up then wants to work on more power ect ect. It seems he isnt any where near done with the car yet.

There are alot of things I would change out if I were to build something that extreme. Like running full solid spherical bushings not poly. Not wasting time with Tien Flex's and a host of other things.

A civic hatch with a K20 coilovers and some sticky tires would kill him.

And LOL at the K-sport E-brake. WTF does he need that for!
