i would say try it out, if ya dont like it go back to an open diff. its all based on preferance as you can see by this thread, some love it some hate it...ill have to agree though driving in the rain can be fun and shitty at the same time,lol.

OP: I like Welded diff. I have one on my daily/whatever car. Its all on what your comfortable with.. J30's are fine for daily and the occasional event.
I've had no problem driving in the rain even on the highway w/ pouring rain. Have common sense. When driving on the highway DONT go so fast.. on a turn DONT let off suddenly or suddenly downshift and shiftlock you car down a ditch. lol. Its your car so its your decision. I personally like it. and I think it can be "Unsafe"..w/o common sense
