Paul K is right. You can't get a reclining seat with FIA approval/homolgation. So REAL race seats are all fixed back. In fact, go to the Sparco page and you'll see that all the pussy reclining armchairs are under the "Street" header and the big-boy seats are under "Competition". Being fat and tall is no excuse. Just get an EVO XL. It's pretty damn wide and you can side mount it to go really low.
Is drag racing real racing? Sure. But I'm not so sure I need to be comfortable for those few seconds, and I'm pretty sure comfort isn't at the top of my list at that point. In fact, the popular drag seats are made by Kirkey, which are just aluminum tubs with flat surfaces and 1/8" of padding. Not exactly comfortable, and I'm pretty sure they don't even have ANY safety certifications. Actually on their website, they specifically call out the rounded edges as "safety features". I'm not worried about cutting myself damnit. I'm worried about it collapsing in a crash! |

this is also a good place to mention that bride got sold.
so any bride seats you see now are essentially counterfeit, i forget the name the real brides are using now. but in my opinion, yeah brides are nice, but sparcos and recaros are every bit as nice. if you buy a bride, unless you got an amazing deal on it, you bought it for the name and to impress people in parking lots. |

I'd go with Recaro or Status over Bride any day. Bride seats are nice but not worth the money IMO.
