True. I'm not bashing the motor because I have driven ZO6's and I would have traded my 240 for one, but I just am very skeptical about how much everyone seems to rave about them....

To answer your previous questions.
1) They are light and compact
2) They are simple and easy to work on
3) They are very potent and inexpensive to mod
4) They are also efficient ... getting nearly 30mpg in a car that weighs over 3500lbs thats powered by a 5.7L v8 is astonishing (considering smaller displacement sports cars get crappier gas mileage)
5) Parts are extremly easy to come by
6) They sound fucking awesome.
I just don't see how someone can hate on LSx V8's.

I want to see someone put an LS7 into a '13 chassis with a mild cam and some mild headwork. That would be one fun (read: dangerous) car!

LS6 block is essentially an LS1 block rods/pistons/crank are all the same.Only real difference is the block has windows in the cylinders...the only bad thing about LSx's for racing is their oiling system which is why Mike has been through a few of them. They seemed to have cured that though by going dry sump on the LS7's.
