maybe he liked they way the 350z looked over the supra and wanted the 2J over the VQ? maybe he wanted it just just because? either way, i doubt the shop you work at or are affiliated with could even come close to doing this swap, at least its not another s13 with an SR.

*edit* I personaly don't like the way Supras look 95% of the time. The body styling just kinda wore out on me i guess. The 2j is an awesome motor and has MUCH more potential than the VQ, so.... (plus I think Z's a great looking

i guess im the only one who doesnt quite understand y. if you want a toyota .... buy a toyota. will have stupid money into making power with this. could do similar with the stock motor. or another nissan motor... just doesnt quite make sense. just my .02 i suppose. im sure this will be taken by many to be a stupid post and will make ppl mad... someone make me understand y. i know the 2jz is the ultimate motor blah blah blah. still if you want a toyota. buy one.
Same thing for when Top Secret put the twin-turbo V-12 into a Supra.

2 me its just a bandwagon swap. everyone is putting 2jz in everything nowadays. i dont work for a shop nor am i affiliated with one. i doubt this will be much of a challenge for xat seeing as how many other swaps they have done...

i think its badass.
2j in supra is cool but a 2j in a 350z(way better looking car than supra)is way more badass and 2nd off its way more tougher to try to run a 90 mill on the vq in the bay of the 350.

Why?
Cost per HP.
It was more cost effective to swap in a 2J to achieve 700+ HP than it was to sleeve and build the VQ.
I didn't agree with the swap at first but it does makes sense.
The exhaust fabrication is pure sex.
