My S13 Coupe Build --> Here we go again.

As most of you know I have been in the 'Nissan' world for a decade;I have been fortunate enough to build several different 240's 2J' RB Etc along the way; But I have never had a clean one.
I haven’t had a ‘project’ of any sort for the last year or two; so as we all do; I searched for a ‘deal’ and picked up an S13 Coupe. It came with an SR that had a spun bearing; the car needs some work.
STEP one; pull the motor out and paint the car correctly. I had an idea of doing a quick paint job but my buddy Jeff who has just opened up a shop in South Orlando (Paint, Bodywork, powder coating etc); quickly squashed my bull shit ideas and took charge; We stripped the chassis; and started prepping the chassis to paint. He does great work!! As I do with most of my S13’s I scrapped the OEM front end and went with a Silvia front end (No bricks yet). We are not 100% on the color we are going to paint it but we are toying with the idea of going with a variation of a midnight purple. Also plan to do a little something to enhance the look with the wheels that are already on the car.

All i can say is WOW; look at the difference; how clean is that chassis...Not to mention Tar free !!










Ran into a problem with the Sunroof; the idiot who owned the car previously had cut out the reinforcement when the sun roof was installed..So we are working on that.

Trying to decide which route to go with the chassis in regards to a cage or just a simple harness bar.

Some variant of a 'dark' plum/purple. Not 100% decided yet; need to come to a conclusion asap !

I am trying to find a good Harness bar for additional (rigidness) But this time around I don't want to go with a full cage like I did last time...As much as I loved the feel of it; i prefer no-cage for a street car. Keeping my eyes open...

Jeff has solved the dilemma to seal the sunroof and have rigidness; with a little hood trick.







I must say the body work is coming out perfectly; Jeff is doing some great work !! Also next to the front bumper you see the Mazworx Harness bar. It will do the job; staying away from a cage for the time being. The body has come a long with; this chassis had a lot of dents and dings...But NOT any more

Also trying to sort out what motor combo to go with. Might keep it clean and easy or go a little different...Hmmmmmmmmmm

So Jeff now has a powder coater --- Let me say these pictures don't do the valve cover justice. In person, it looks incredible !
