Back to Nissan for 2011...Kouki time!

Story time:

So I used to have a couple s-chassis about 5 years ago...for some reason sold em and got a DSM....well Im pretty much done with the Eclipse now and decided to start looking for another 240. I picked up an RB20 with hopes of installing it in an s13 coupe. About a month later my friend busted his s14 up when a Mustang driver gawking at a female jogger rolled into the street from a neighborhood. Insurance gave him a check for $1500, and he wasnt really feelin the s-chassis love anymore. So I gave him a bit more cash and he went on his way to buy a Miata, while I drove this pile home. lol

Driver fender damage is from some dumbass in a lifted truck who tried to back out of a parking space over the front of the car. Nice.

Tweakage



This thing is fucked. Anyone know whats its called so I can try to find a replacement?



All pulled apart, bumper retainer hammered back into shape.



Hm, whats that? The side of the core support is painted black...uh oh. And this bolt is painted blue! I wonder what happened. But at least they left me the stickers with the part numbers so I dont have to look it up! This car definitely came up as accident free (till last month) on the CarFax...lol

From the looks of that last picture (the lower part of the core support on the drivers side) Id say the frame is tweaked about 1/4 inch down...cause before the accident the front end lined up perfectly.

So then I started hammering for about 2 hours. My goal here was to get it lined up enough to close the hood correctly, and pretty much get it as close as I could before I bring it to the frame shop. Obviously I still need a new headlight, maybe a hood, and some bumper repair...

I've started collecting some goodies for the car once its roadworthy...yes unfortunately it's an auto. lol





Pile of aborted RB swap....lol...theres a harness and shifter trim in there somewhere.



Clutch pedal and cylinder



All I need for the swap now is a braided clutch line, the rubber dust boot for the shifter, and a slave cylinder. So Ill probably just buy those new when the time comes.

Thats pretty much it for now! If anyone has a passenger kouki headlight, let me know! haha

Nah fuck the RB. My original plan was to get a beat up coupe, some coils and an lsd, and make the RB work...then drift the piss out of it.

Since I got the s14...its all nice and original...Im just going 5spd swap it, get some wheels, maybe a few more mods and then just drive it till I blow the engine. Then probably go KA-T.

This made me laugh...went to pull the fender and found this compost heap....when I pulled the back cap off the skirt it just oozed black at me. This is easily the dirtiest car Ive ever worked on lol.



Fenders and core support fixed. Waiting to find a headlight, then Ill decide if I need a new headlight bracket...

still gotta decide on a front bumper, and fix the hood. Or get a CF hood...then I dont have to paint it..lol
