'95 s14 project
Picked it up less than a month ago for $1500. Will become my DD, and eventually hoping to KA-T it.
1995 240sx
The Good:
-140k on the chassis, 99k on the motor/5 speed swap.
-Wheels have decent fitment
-Tokico Blues w/ Eibach Sportlines
-5 speed
-SE
-Engine runs really strong, starts right up
-Leather interior option
The Bad:
-Primered everything. He must not have taped it too well. It was on: almost every piece of glass on the car, jambs, lights, weather seals, tires, sunroof, antenna assembly, exhaust tips.
-Purple/Bubbled tint
-Came with a gas tank in the back seat, since the one on it was leaking.
-Tranny was grinding
-Rear brakes don't work
-CD player works 1/5 times the car is turned on
-Radio trim is cracked
-Driver's rear spindle/LCA is rusted
-Yellowed headlights
-No shift boot
-Power antenna broken (still tries to work)
-A/C parts missing
-Steering wheel beat up
-One of the reverse lights isn't wired right, the other comes on when the brakes are pressed
-Leather is cracked/coming off on parts of the seats
-Carpet trashed
Pictures I took for insurance after driving it home from the guy's backyard:

With A LOT of help from Dimitri (170k240), the leaky gas tank was replaced.
Old one out:

I replaced this shitty steering wheel and airbag:

I replaced the rusted ass stock exhaust and cat:

What I've bought so far:
-Cheap 3" exhaust + test pipe, actually turned out to fit well, and sound nice.
-Shift Boot + knob
-Steering wheel + airbag
-The rusted suspension components
-New radio trim
-Short shifter
-3M restoration kit (no polisher/buffer, so the drill bit setup is worth it)
-Missing A/C parts
I removed all the shitty tint, washed it, sanded/polished headlights, got the exhaust on, thoroughly cleaned interior, and put on most of what I've bought.
Here's how it sits now:

It's going on a trip to Dade City tomorrow, for 2 weeks. It's getting full paint minus engine bay (jambs, hood, trunk, entire body). It will be gloss black.
Inspiration car:
