i havent updated this in a long time. heres updates in pictures from the past months.
So i found this:

then:
update of the last couple months since i havent posted anything in a while:
made this neato thing for switches and stuff

put different wheels on the back. they stuck out a little

got this shit. still havent put it in.

put some long studs in the front. put them in the back later on but didnt get pics. whatever.

went on a fun dorifto trip to ATL with some people you may know.

saw my favorite s14

rolled fenders to fit pokey wheels.

took stuff apart. gay.

check out that made tight roll center adjustment.

did little stuff here and there like body work and such. car looks like this now

reshimmed the valves last night. worked awesome. car runs way smoother now. one valve still ticks though because i didnt have a shim big enough on hand to correct the gap.

the car is running pretty well now. i'm going to try and get an alignment this week. i need to put a water temp gauge and an oil pressure gauge on it still.
THEN
THEN
and i did this business the other day:

and washed it the other day too.

THEN

THEN

THEN
removed the core support for easy access. like crotchless panties. or flipping your boxers around backwards for people like Jason.

got the engine ready to be placed once i get the mount plates from getting water jet cut.

media blasted the upper intake plenum and throttle body at work on monday. gonna do a crinkle black finish i think.

THEN
big update. all mounts are finished and the motor is now sitting in the bay on its own. i'm getting ready to put in an order with a salvage yard in minnesota that will get me 95% of the rest of the parts i need to get this bitch running. i think once all that business comes in i may be able to achieve my goal of the end of february running date.
welding up the engine and transmission mounts:

sick beads:

popped the valve covers off. the valvetrain is super clean:

cleaned the valve covers up:

I guess skip a few months, years and this is where you end up? It's looking good, if I had a VQ in my bay, it would have to be force fed...
