Well.....Hybrid Motorsports' Nissan Skyline has been sitting around the shop for quite a while, and we've finally gotten around to getting some work done on it. While we also will be looking at addressing the exterior, we've decided to give the engine bay some much needed love.
Because the only proper way to re-do an engine bay, everything has been removed - which included engine, tranny, wires, sensors, etc., blah, blah, blah.... As with most of our other projects, one thing leads to another and before you know it we have a full-blown project on out hands. Gotta love it!!!
Of course the process is very tedious and time-consuming, but it needs to be, to be done right. No shortcuts were taken and after most of the things in the engine bay were removed, it looked like this:

Again, no shortcut was taken in prepping the car for paint. There was endless hours and hours of grinding, sanding, etc. to get it in the best possible condition for a flawless paint job. After the "dirty work" was done, it was time for taping it off for paint (obviously the entire car needed to be taped-off/masked to avoid contaminating the rest of the car with overspray).

At this point, the engine bay is just about to be ready for primer! So on we went to the priming stage. Below, are a few shots of the primed engine bay:

Looks flawless!!!!

In the next segment, we'll move on to paint! Catcha later, and thanks for checking us out!

Glad im not the only one that doesnt consider "no shortcut taken" to include leaving the brake booster, clutch master, engine crossmember, etc.

First of all: The purpose of a link is to draw traffic to our shop forum.
Second: It's a thread follow the direction before you dis it, the booster was the only thing that was paint purposely, hardlines will be replaced. and theres no paint on any part of the cross member and theres no master anything there only a boot which has also been replaced.
Sorry you don't like it. but it's an opinion. it will be done right.
All constructive criticism will be welcomed for a more productive project and better end result, however name calling is not very nice and tends to make individuals look more like haters than nissan lovers.
Thank Justin
