The correct way to build an s14.
I got into an accident back in november. It went from this:

To this:

So I bought a non running S14 Base model locally:

Then I did this to it:

So now that I got the new car stripped and out of the way I got around to starting the reconstruction of my original car.
Starting time, smashed to hell:

Got the motor out and this is how a 200k mile bay which had a motor with an oil leak look like: Gross

Motors and stuff laying around:

Pressure washed the bay to get it a bit more clean:

Close up of the damage:

And finally current progress as of today:

I'll update this as I go.
I've picked up a few neat parts to go on once the car is back together. I've yet to buy one part that will actually help fix the car lol. The engine bay will be painted a neat high flake metalic silver and the engine is going to get a fresh oem rebuild while its out of the car.
The Interior of the car has already been replaced with new stuff since the dash was destroyed thanks to the passenger airbag exploading. Luckily no one was in the car to smashed in the face by it. That would of sucked.

Why wouldnt you just swap all the shit over to the car you bought.
Seems a bit easier then doing all the work on your wrecked car, putting it on a frame machine to get everything right, and then still having a somewhat questionable chassis with a wrecked history.
and an unrelated question, what rails are you using with your SRD's, how do they fit?

I was thinking about it, but I decided that I hated the new car after tpwing it home, and It would still be alot of work either way. The lower frame has Zero damage at all so there is no reason for it to go to a frame shop. The structural members are all still intact. Its only the core support and some sheet metal that got damaged. Also with the amount of work I put into my car I didnt feel like just giving up on it since its something I can and will fix.
I was using a Bride MO seat rail. It sits kinda higher than I would like but I got used to it quickly.

Who is doing your welding for you?
Looks like you've got a plan of attack figured out. Do you have something to daily other than the S14?Determined to be famous, destined to be infamous.

Seems like a fun project. I just think it would of been alot easier and took less time to swap everything. You could of swaped everything in 2 days easy. And the moeny spent on other parts, you could have gotten the new shell painted. Just IMO though. Good luck with the rebuild. And go ka-t instead of a stock rebuild!!! Or high compression!!

So far the only cost of rebuilding the car was buying the shell, which came with almost everything I need to put my car back together. The amount of work involved isnt important to me really.
And It would of been close to the same amount of work because its not as simple as take off stuff then put stuff back on. Plus I dont want to have to repaint an entire car. This way I only have to repaint half of an entire car.
Im not spending any more money on a KA other than 100$ in new gaskets and stuff.
Thanks MaximaZX, I wish my paint job looked as nice as yours. I used to hate this color red but its starting to grow on me a bit.

Question, why didn't you just swap everything over to the other car? Would have been a whole lot easier.
Just playing man. Frame looks good. Just please dont just but weld the fender support. Did your brakes work at all during that wreck though? OUch!
