It's possible that not all cars have the official size tank.
Sometimes a mfg'er will switch something over part way through the year.
Increasingly I see parts people checking vin number to decide what part goes
on a certain car.

Also, At some junkyards you will find a slightly different tank that will fit under
the car but the gallons are not the same. If I had a choice of hunting and hunting
for an exact duplicate tank, but yet a bigger tank would fit the same mounts,
and for the same price, I would go for the bigger tank to get a longer range
before needing to refill.-Bob
