HX35 power & spool
I currently have a 16g on a 2g AWD eclipse. I know the 16g is unbeatable when it comes to spooling but i want more power.
what kind of spool times would be for the HX35?
I want to run in the range of 18-20lbs.AWD FTW!

That answer depends on a large list of variables. Also, why 18-20 psi? Have you done the math on the compressor map as far as pressure ratios? What you should be aiming for is a certain mass flow rate in lbs./min., not psi.

Check out DSMtuners.com if you haven't already, but just prior to getting out of my old DSM these seemed to fill the gap between Mitsu/Garrett pretty well (until the FP 68HTA came out). Spool is probably between 4-4.5K from what I remember, which isn't bad.

i have not. I just saw the turbo and did some minor research on it. i have stock motor with all suporting mods, 750cc injectors. im just looking for a turbo that will be a good turbo on the street.

I agree with beverlyhillsninja . The hx35 can be a great turbo. there are two ways to get it on a 4g63. using the bolt on BEP housing. thats the easy way but its laggy for 500whp turbo. Or you can use the 12cm twinscroll housing some come with. make or buy custom manifold that retains twin scroll. this route is time consuming and far more expensive, but the turbo is awesome setup that way. power hits 600rpm sooner in twin scroll form. that is a huge seat of the pants difference.
want a piece of the yellow car? (buy it)
you have to beat the blue car first
and then you have to take on the IV

honestly around 400awhp is a great number for streetable. I know my stealth twin turbo awd/aws pulled like freight train @ 425awhp on dual 13g's.
And my 1991 Dodge Colt 4g64 20g @ 400fwhp was a monster. But it wasn't to the point where it would break axles as often and I never blew out the manual mitsubishi transmission. (but i sure did blow up the 6spd getrag in the stealth) around 400hp is a healthy number for mitsu's to handle for a daily driver.

i hate turbo lag!!! I want the sppol of the 16g or close to it, and the power of a bigger turbo.!! I had a bad experiance with a laggy turbo before and don't want it to happen again.
AWD FTW!

then max out the 16g or get a 20g. the hx35 isn't the turbo for you.
