Noob here, moving to Ft.Myers next month from Ohio

Luckily, I found your guys site.
Very nice btw-
It should make the transition much easier already meeting people on this board.
Being totally new to the area, I am wondering how far I am going to have to drive to get to a dragstrip from Ft. Myers. 1/4 or 1/8?

Thanks!

Well, the only 2 major drag strips I know of, and everyone usually goes to are..

Sunshine Speedway 1/8 In Largo, fl. and Bradenton Motorsports Park 1/4 in Bradenton.

Welcome to the board!

Thanks for the welcome.
I did some looking around on the internet and found Immokalee drag strip, which looks to be the closest so far. It's 1/8 mile.
I prefer 1/4, so it looks like I'll be trailering to Bradenton.

I'll try to post a pic below of my car. (Warning, n00b attempting to post pic).

I am running a .060 over 350 block with 6" H beam rods and flat top, two valve relief forged pistons. Cast iron Dart II heads with 2.05/1.6 valves that have hundreds of hours of cutting and flowbench time. Edelbrock Super Victor intake fully ported and benched. Race Demon carb. TH350 w/4100 stall. 9" rear, 4.56 gear. 28X11.5 Hoosier QT's. 12 point cage, etc. etc. etc....... No nitrous yet.

Went 7.10's to 6.90's in the eighth with the wrong low rpm stall.

Did I mention this runs on 92 octane?
