New to the VW/Audi Scene
Hello,
I'm new to the Audi/VW scene, but no stranger to motorsports.
I'm mainly looking to meet some folks that are B6 1.8T Quattro Jedi.
I'm looking to do some minor modifications over time. For instance, I may go as far as chipping my car, and upgrading the diverter/bypass valve. I'm mostly interested in cleaning up the induction/intake aspects of the motor's performance, as well as upgrading the cars handling (Which is pretty decent out of the box). I'd start with sway bars and eventually swap out the shocks and coils. Upgrading the diffs would be about as crazy as I'm willing to get in this area, and that would probably be limited to a torsen center diff.
I seem to be having some minor issues cropping up, I.e. motor mounts appear to be in need of replacement. I'm getting some minor hesitation in the power band (Running slightly rougher in the last few months), but the car isn't throwing codes. I think the motor mounts are to blame here.

But on a serious note, mounts won't affect the way your engine runs, just the way power is delivered, and even then its not a massive impact on performance till one actually breaks.

Yeah, as far as the mounts affecting power delivery, that's essentially what I'm feeling. I feel the motor/tranny moving as I push through the rev range, especially when the turbo is loading up. Most people wouldn't notice it. I'm not 'most people', though... Hehe
I've had dealer techs take a look, and they can't seem to feel the symptoms. They've all said that the motor mounts need replacing.
Car has 85K on it, but I drive it pretty aggressively - not to the point of abuse though...
I'm just about to order some new mounts from 034 Motorsports. Hopefully I'll have them in the car by the end of next week. May get an APR diverter valve as well, but I haven't decided on it.
