I actually have never got to auto-x yet, i have however done a track day at homestead miami....but that was in my civic. Cant wait to get the s2k out there! But we have some twisties here(in tampa, where i live now) that i can tear up pretty good! I come up to Ocala to visit my family pretty often and if im in town on the weekends ill usually be out with dustin(magic carpet), lembo(sp? haha) and their crew....
PS. is the g-ville track still running? Ive been hearing rumors of it being shut down... i def want to git up that track!

Oh, between the civic and the S2k it'll be a night and day difference, with the fwd you have nose plow and understeer, with the S2000 you just point it and it's like "Yes-sir!" and goes. It's sooo much smoother. I have a pile of money in my car's suspension and it's tough to keep an S2k behind me in the corners, even a stock one. I think that'll be the next used car to have, with its high quality and great all around package its hard to beat when looking into getting a used sports car. In my opinion they are the best roadster made.
I haven't heard anything about gainesville shutting down, I think they are seasonal though. Hopefully with the new expansion at the airport in Ocala it might free up some runway space for rent so events can be held in Ocala too. Last I heard they purchased 800 acres to expand the place. Chances are that if they're making such a large expansion that there will be some commercially viable bi-product to the purchase, meaning they'll be having larger commercial jets landing there. The only reasoning I can see is because of the breeders that are there and the horse market is what moves Ocala. Only time will tell really.

the civic and s2k are definitely wo different breeds, but my civic handled pretty damn well also. the civic you can full throttle through the corner but with the s2k you have to stay off throttle through the turn then punch it after the apex...it took me a couple months to get it down and be comfortable. oversteer is all new to me...

Yeah, The Lude is not bad at all unless your trying to take a technical corner at speed, then you loose so much momentum. You either have to have it screaming at 8k and be gentle around the corners or bog down and try to get it moving after the apex. Is your S2k a DD?

yep, but that doesn't stop me from putting good shit on it. I'm stll looking for a nice set of coilovers for it. I'm leaning towards the buddy club spec dampers thus far. but ill research more wen the time comes...hardtop is going on first.

The Hardtop makes a big difference, personally to me that was the one thing about the S2k that looked "off". That was the way the soft top didn't really "blend" with the car. It's almost like they made and awesome coupe then choped the top off of it and decided to make it convertiable. What kind of top do you plan on putting on it? OEM? Mugen?

oem, but mugen would be my second choice.

Mugen is nice but damn if it doesn't cost an arm and a Leg. I'm debating on Mugen or Xantic design for my exterior, Mugen is nice but Xantic is practically a Mugen copy but in carbonfiber(read cha-ching!). What's an OEM run compared to Mugen?

OEM $1900 from Honda, MUGEN around $3500 for FRP/$5000 for carbon! OEM price, fitment, rear window defroster FTW!

Ah, true, true, but a Mugen top will make you more popular with the ladies. I plan on getting my Mugen stuff all the way around. That's about the only body kit worthy other than the OEM lip. There's a supercharged S2k that comes down to the dealership every now and a agian that's pretty not, I haven't seen it buzzing around Ocala alot though. There are two pretty hot ones running around here the other one has a spoon brake kit on that looks nice, I'm sure they grab well too. It's probably a good thing too when you get to driving stupid. Have you started any work on your S2k yet?
