have you seen the price of neptune?? 400 just for the board. its almost the same price! hondata is way more user friendly. you say kpro is good, s300 is the same interface minus the cam angles. so please emphasize on why the rest is crap..... all im saying is s300, wideband, plug n play, easy interface, worth the few extra bucks. |

dude evidently you dont know jack shit about tuning with ec tune!?!?!
ectune is NOT just $200 -ec tune pro software $199 -moates hondalog $30 -ostrich emulator $175 -chipping service $50-$75 + ________ $479 -HONDATA is a daughter board NOT some 28 pin hack! plug and play ready for data logging and upload right out of the box. no romulator or data logger to soldiered and then hanging out of my ecu. not everyone is a cheap bastard when it comes to there car. not everyone can chip there own ecu or wants to learn how to link all the hardware together. have you even worked with s300, chrome pro, turbo edit, uberdata?? Ive used them all and from my experience I would recommend s300 for b series applications for the simple fact that it is more user friendly. |

The reason i said $200 was for the fact i already have everything else that is needed to run it. Turbo edit is trash. Uberdata is out of date, I have tuned 15+ turbo cars and 20+ N/A cars on Crome Pro, including my stock motor h22 hatch on a mustang dyno producing 187whp and getting 37mpg, my old sohc full int eg sedan with 1.6 vtec was doing low 15's and was still getting 44mpg on the street with a/c and power steering. So dont talk to me like im some noob at tuning. Wow, so you hook up a romulator for what 2 hours and you take it out and burn a chip. Tell me how the daughter board is better? once a car is tuned you dont have to drive around with everything. Half the shit in S300 the average persnn is not going to ever use, so whats the point in paying for all that shit your not going to use? I got a H23 Vtec Turbo Integra with a 60-1 and 880cc injectors and crower turbo stage 2 cams im doing this week. I'll be sure to post the dyno numbers for you Last edited by EG8 : 03-23-2008 at 04:22 PM. |

well the reason I bought the S300 is it is easier for me to run my boost, nitrous and alchole injection on and its proven to be reliable so my pc of mind is worth any extra cost. Oh plus I did not do anything cheap on this build so the tune is the most important thing so I decided not to go cheap there also.
oh and John vega just did a chipped ecu for my friends H22 and It dyno'd at 183.4 with 155.8 torque on a dyno jet. so with a accual dyno tune he can shurly see more than that. Last edited by Bseckel : 03-23-2008 at 04:12 PM. |

One reads lower then the other, A mustang dyno is a ball crusher cause it takes into consideration the cars weight. And what you would actual put down if you were driving on the street |

ok sorry for vringing this off subject for a couple of posts but What exactly does the dyno have to do with the tuning software you use or feel comfortable with? Ok you dont like Hondata, I do so. Its personal prefrance, just like tuners. I dont know how to tune so I go with John vega and other people go with other people. If its a good tune its a good tune no matter what tunning software you use. Use what you prefer.
