Insight Turbo

This is an Honda Insight we did an LHT Turbo kit on. The customer drove all the way from Colorado and the car was completed 100% to the statisfaction of the customer!! This was all done in the time frame that was agreed upon!
There's isn't many Insight Upgrades as most folks don't think of make them run any faster.
After building a few and getting reports back of increased gas mileage and much better perfeormance it's one of the best things for a win win add on.

We also upgraded to one of our LHT custom exhausts. This was to help the car achieve a nice smooth powerband and quicker spool up. This exhaust has proven to be very quiet also, It's barely louder than stock but flows about double.





The LHT exhaust looks factory, but just a little bigger.


Here is a completed pic of the Honda Insigth LHT Turbo kit. The customer requested the piping be a satin black finish.The turbo builts boost around 2100 rpms and hits 4 psi by 28 rpms. This makes the Insight accelarate faster and gets into lean burn conditions much fast. Average we have seen gas mileage increases of 5-10 mpg, We have had 2 reports of 20mpg increases while driving very gentle.




The Insight LHT Turbo kit also utilizes a K&N fliter for better breathing.






The Insight LHT Turbo kit provided the car with 30-35 more whp at a conservative 4.5 psi. This makes the car very drivable with more low down and mid range power. LHT has buit seven turbo insight's to date, with zero reported issues!
The Insight Turbo is not designed to to be a sports car or a drag car, but it does make the car 10 times more fun to drive while having no negative affects. Now more insight are coming to the point the battery packs are failing which drops about 20 whp a LHT Turbo kit for the insight is a good solution.
This complete set up , including exhaust and Ball bearing Garrett turbo and full testing runs $3995 + Tax.

We just talked to one of the early Insight turbo kit from 2 years ago and the customer reported an average 7mpg gain over the last 16,000 miles. Other than changing the oil there's been no additional work needed .

Are they getting better than 65 mpg? I would love to call them as I am a owner of a 2000 insight? Are they on this forum so I can get in touch with them?

We have a total of 7 Turbo Insights on the road now. Most of the guys are MPG enthusiasts and have been getting pretty crazy numbers. The best one so far is getting average of 78mpg with a new lifetime of 66mpg.
