Update






For those that havn't seen under the cover of the insight. This shows the battey pack, computers and the main invertors.
Notice the Orange wiring that carriers 144v for the electic motor

Before removing the engine we decided to dyno the Stock Insight just to see what the put down. To my surprise is put down 70whp and 88tq with the electric assist.With the battery pack turned off it lost around 22 whp all the way through the low and mid range and about 11whp at the top.

Stay tuned, the Engine battery packs, computers and wiring have been removed. Beefing up and custom mounts are next.

Motor is in lined up with the mock up mounts. All the measurements are taken to insure proper alignment before the Aluminum mounts are made.



This is just one of the aluminum subframes that bolt onto the K-Sights chassis, This help tranfer the stress of the added weight and power.

There's a huge amount of wiring that has to be done, This is a not a "Make it run and it's done " Project,everything has to work. The Climate control, ABS, Electric power steering, Cruise control, ABS S2000 cluster and just some of what needs to be wired.


You can see the S2000 Cluster is laying in postion, the custom bracket and moulding of the stock insight hood still needs to be addressed.

There's been alot of progress on the K-Sight.
The Shifter box it mounted and the factory cover fits back in the right spot. Apart from the 6 speed shift knob you would never know anything has changed.

Like the first K-Sight , everything must work and look right, A little extra fab work is need to maintain the cup holders in the console.

Mounting the S2000 gauge cluster takes some time to get right, Once it's in the correct postion aluminum brackets are made .

The Factory headlights look a little rough, were going to re finish them as part of the package. We can refinish plastic headlights for any make or model.

Part of the LHT K-Sight package is the black housing head lights that make a big differance to the looks for the overall finished project.
You will see the black housing later in this thread.

Now the modifications have been done to the engine bay it's time for paint. There's a lot of structure that has been added to accomadate the added weight and torque of the new power plant.

The LHT Performance K-sight is coming together for a final time. Here are some pics of the recent progress.

The LHT header built and Ceramic coated waiting to go on.


Notice the stepped primarys and a Burns merge collector for optimal flow.


Here is the front structual stabalizer with built in engin mount. Powder coated and looking good!


Another angle so you can get an idea of how the piece acutally functions.


Here is a frontal shot of the stabalizer bar all mounted up.


This view shows the piece and how important it is, notice how it will reinforce the car for structual integrity and has the front engine mount built into it.


This view shows yet another structual bar we incorporated into the build. Also notice the nice header clearance, everything fits like a glove.

Today we built the LHT Stealthy Twin Loop exhaust for the K-Sight. It consits of 2.5 S/S piping with a resonator, cat, and a twin loop muffler. Sounds amazing. Here are the pictures!!

The Stock exhaust diameter is smaller the the header tubes on the new motor.The exhaust has a very smooth tone and will easliy support the power .

Here are some updates from today!!! Car is nearing completion, so look forward to an update tomorrow for a finished product!!!



Here we have the Modified Headlights, we did the black housing conversion. Just another touch that sets the car apart from it's siblings!!! LOL!!!


Here is a minty fresh Type R valve cover. Just a nice touch to an already amazing engine bay!


Here is another picture of the LHT Header and the Ceramic coating that we offer!


You can see how well our coating holds up, after 17 pulls on the dyno then getting a little rain on it the header still looks great.( Dyno #s soon)

More things coming together, we just got the Custom LHT aluminum Strut bar, intake and rear torsion bar back from powder coating.
The Strut bar and cold air intake are of course aluminum. the Torsion bar is Chromoloy.



You also see in this picture the fully adjustable TEIN Suspension.


Of course it gets the LHT "K-Sight" Logo


Part of the LHT K-Sight package is Custom color HX wheels, new tires and the bigest brakes we can fit behind the wheel.

The K-Sight is completed and in time promised.

Even with the K series engine this still still drive like a factroy Honda, ABS , AC, Cruise control, PS and smooth drivability. It's a real car.
It also make 3 times to power it used to , See dyno:

The bigger brakes, suspension and wheel package that goes into a K-Sight, It has to handle and stop the extra power.


The cruise control box is neatly mounted under the aluminum strut tower bar.


The Before and after dyno, We dynoed the stock engine with a full charge. 71whp
The New engine is a stock 2004 RSX-S , LHT Header, Cat, twin loop exhaust and LHT Tuned on K-Pro.
With no cat and a larger exhaust it would have made little more up top, but this is not a stripped out race car.


We will upload a video of the car in action soon, It drives and runs as good as it looks, the speedo was claibrated with a GPS to 100% perfect, the cruise control holds with 1 mph , the AC blows ice cold, it is smooth and quiet. Lay on the loud pedal and it puts a smile on your face while leaving a little tire on the road behind.
