JRSC & LHT cooler; Timing question
In general, how much more timing can or is added back in with the reduction of intake temps due to the cooler?
I am debating between starting with the B18C5 JRSC map from Hondata or making one similar using the stock timing before boost. The basemap looks kind of irratic and not so smooth on the timing....
1998 ITR, stock block, 01 ITR intake cam, JRSC with Motorvations stepper pulley, RC 440CC saturated injectors, Hondata obd2a ecu with S300, Walbro pump, ENDYN catch can, and the LHT intercooler with race heat exchange kit.
I just ordered all parts so nothing is on the car yet. I want to know from your experience, how the cooler has affected the timing used on motors.
Any 2D graphs of timing before and after would be cool.

The only true way to tune is to apply the tuning to that car. Every car is differant and the engine will tell you how much timing is needs based on HP and plugs.
Typically we can add 3-4 degrees after the cam change over with no issues, I would add 1 degree at a time untill I get to point it no longer makes power, then back off 2 degrees. You should always read the plugs as they will also tell a story.www.lhtperformance.net.

ok, thanks.
On a different note, I am curious what the recommended cooling agent is. A combination of water and Water Wetter, or simply coolant. I saw it listed as an option, but I don't think I will be able to use freon.
I had crazy intake temp problems with my car the last time I had the blower on, so I want to do as much as possible to get it under control this time around.

80% distilled water and the rest coolant will be fine. The freon R+D wasn't as sucessful as thought.
