need a little help

ok heres the issue. im looking at a dohc vtec motor in my del slo and not sure which to go with. my first choice is a ctr motor. i dont know if there is much you can do performance wise. my second choice is a gsr. so can anyone help me decide or at least give me some insight. thanks

Both motors are potent and offer the same aftermarket availablilty as the other.

Except that the CTR is hard to find and going to cost twice as much and in the end after youve changed cams pistons etc, your gonna have a ported b16, that you spent 3k+ for.

go with a cheaper motor and put the parts u want in. ctr is already raced out. u can get the same parts installed for alot less. if u ever plan on boost ctr isnt the way 2 go.

a b16 would prolly be the cheapest, and in those cars it should be pretty fast. and b series responds well to bolt ons also

If all prices were equal I would still go for the B18C, longer stroke will provide more torque and feel better low down without having to rev as much. The B16 CTR will make good power but it's all top with very little under about 6000rpm.

B18C all the way baby, but if your Sol already has a DOHC b-16, take it to LHT and get a LHT-400 kit
