LHT Turbo /// Before and After ///
Everyones trying to build a turbo car and save money, They buy a manifold that's claims to be (AC Friendly) and some kinda of (Who knows what size it is ) shiney turbo with a name you've heard of.
Well, We had the joy to re build the turbo kit and dyno it before and after our turbo kit.
The engine is a completely stock GSR with a Skunk 2 manifold running off a TIAL wastegate with a 9lb spring.
Here's the manifold and turbo after is was removed:

Sure it's AC friendly, but you to run a 2.5" Down pipe and "Cheat the bend" and cut it on a "Not so flow friendly" angle like this:

Here's the pair of them together

We replace them with the "LHT Turbo Started kit" that can be seen here:
http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/lh...kit-yes-c.html
It consists of a LHT Spec Precision turbo, LHT Cast manifold and 3" LHT Down pipe.
Here's the before and after down pipe:

We're also changing the exhaust to a full LHT Stealth 3" stainless exhaust.

Here's the the turbo:

It is larger in size but sized prefect for this set up, we have years of experience building and tuning turbo charged Hondas. This is has led to our sizing turbos to to give good power without losing low end and spool up.
This picture shows how well everything fits. The turbo has a full 3" intake with K+N filter, the down pipe is full 3" Stainless, the intercooler pipes are 2.5" aluminum and everything fit and the AC is cold.

So, everything is together and it's ready to dyno.
We take it to the dyno and the boost is left uptouched 100%. The car is taken to the exact same dyno so there's no funky business to sell our stuff.

As you can see by the graph, not only does the LHT kit make 75whp more up top (255whp to 332whp )it makes more power right from the second you hit the gas.
At 4500 rpm the new turbo is making 50 ft lbs of torque more than the old kit, there's nowhere in the power band the new kit doesn't make more power and the AC is cold.
This kit is based on the LHT400 kit, Call us for more info 727 344 1800.www.lhtperformance.net.

The car was tuned before by us yes, It did require re tuning with the new kit becuase of way more air flow.
I have pushed stock motors way past 300whp but years building and tuning I choose 300 to be my rule of thumb. This car ran off the WG at 9 psi.www.lhtperformance.net.
