Integra GSR LHT400 Step by Step
This is an Integra GSR brought to us from North Carolina for an LHT400 turbo and a sleeved engine build.
Because of the block sleeving by Golden Eagle this will be a 5-6 week project.
Stay tuned as you will see lots of updates on the build and what goes into an LHT turbo , engine build and tune.

This will be much cleaning after the LHT touch

The motor is removed and it's way to the folks at Golden Eagle.
Golden Eagle are proven to be the best sleeving company we've dealt with, Great product with no issues in the 7 years we've used them.
It will be an 84mm motor with 9 to 1 CP pistons.

While we're waiting for the block at to be sleeved by Golden Eagle we took care of the some of the other upgrades.
We built the 3" complete exhaust , this is based on our Stealth systems but we upgraded it to aluminum. The whole exhaust with muffler weighs in at 12 lbs witch is about 1/4 of stainless.
This is the stock exhaust.

After going through the Cylinder head we found it had 8 slightly bent intake valves, Most likely from a mis shift.The head now has a full Supertech Valve train (As used in the LHT Type R) and a complete re fresh.
The LHT Spec Precision turbo is here waiting to make some power, The Brand new OEM Type R trany is always waiting patient.www.lhtperformance.net.

The Cylinder head is complete re built and loaded with Supertech Valves, springs and Ti retainers.

Skunk2 intake manifold joining the party, looks, flows and fit much better than the GSR manifold.

The stock GSR tranny has a ton of miles on it, so why not go with a ITR tranny.
Better syncros, better gearing and a LSD, plus it's brand spanking new.

A Precision Turbo will be making the power possible.
This will do an easy 450whp down the road with a fast spool and no problem falling off at higher RPMs.

The block is back from Golden Eagle.
After LHT boring to our specs for the 9-1 CP Pistons and bead blasting it's ready for building.
We added our resurfacing to the block for a tight seal sized each piston and each ring to it's cylinder.



CP piston are still the best pistons out there, there sizing amazing. They all measure within a 1/10th of a thousand of each other. We still bore each cylinder each piston.

All the bearings are sized to LHT specs and torqued , the oil pump , water pump, T belt will be installed next.
The head is ready to go, we opened up the combustion chambers to match the 84mm block.
The new Type R trans, LHT LIght flywheel ans stage 3 clutch will then be installed to make the package ready to install in the car.Last edited by MrLHT; 07-23-2008 at 08:03 AM.

The motor is pretty much put together.

Notice the TLC, brackets are re painted and bead blasting to make it look nicer.


Manifold it ready with some 800cc Precision injectors, and LHT throttle body and stock rail.The stock rail is fine upto 500whp and no fitment issues.
We're installing an LHT Breather kit on this motor, notice the fittings in the back of the block.www.lhtperformance.net.

Motor is built and in the car. The wire harness was completely re wrapped and bracket and clips replaced along the way for that extra TLC.

Below a picture of the LHT manifold and turbo installed on the block with our custom heat shield.


Below you can see the 3" stainless downpipe and re circ dump tube which easliy clears AC compressor and AC fan.

The Precision intercooler installed with the bumper support, This intercooler has proven to over 600whp on our builds yets fits very well.

As well as the Upgraded clutch and flywheel combo, Gator axles will be putting the power to the ground while maintaining ABS.

The engine and drive train are completed. The intercooler piping , oil lines and catch are done.
We decided to polish the piping to brighten up the engine bay and give it more of a show look when completed.


This is an LHT Custom pipe kit, it fits perfect without rubbing or rattling. It's bead rolled to prevent pipes blowing off under boost.

The Car is now finished, After street tuning about 100 miles was put on the new set up the off to the dyno.
The Car has a high flow 3" cat to stay emision friendly and to make it quieter. The car has 880cc injector for future upgrades but for now runs the OEM map sensor to we limited it to 10 PSI were it layed down 321whp at 9.5 PSI from the Hondata Logger.
For that extra TLC we gave the customer a Type R valve cover to add to the under hood look.
