Wrong the gts faster, I own a si and have owned a 89 mustang that went 13.8 with only free mods and drag radials. in brute force power and ease of modding get the stang. Not sure on mpg for the new gt's but my old stang was knocking down 20mpg around town. And I will be getting a stang again as soon as possible, just keep your honda and have fun with the stang on weekends.

Get the Si, you'll thank your self later for buying it. I'm not being biased by any means, by owning a Honda or anything. I love Mustangs as well.

honestly i am a honda guy and i wouldnt buy either one of these if i bought a brand new car. I would buy the new vw gti then honda si and i would never buy a ford! i would buy a chevy but not a ford. overall the honda is probably the best way to go cuz its quick and its good on gas and will hold it value alot better then the ford! the ford is faster new but the honda is also like 5 or 6gs cheaper and with the honda it has a better suspension better braking and better all the way around but like i said i like the new gtis. 1)GTI 2) SI 10823739) MUSTANG GT <---LOL but just my.02!

i had 2 s197 (05+) gt's and the new mustangs suck for one reason in particular... The brake systems.. my last one was wrecked becuase the brakes gave out. They are way underpowered for the weight/size of the newer mustangs. Other than that, I loved mine and averaged 19-20mpg around the city. although on the other hand I love my turbo teg and the fact that people dont expect whats under the hood .. do what you feel will make you happier
