    Lets work these peoblems out

I was at the dragstrip thursday night. There was a breakdown and the guy on the 4 wheeler road down to look at things while making the other guy walk all the way down the track pushing a mop bucket. When done, same thing. Made him walk all the way back instead of riding him and the bucket back. I cant believe the amount of time wasted doing it that way, [What gives]? I was at the track tonight and there was a problem and the guy driving the 4 wheeler, this time let the guy ride with him. Let me add this. The guy thurs. night was black and the guy tonight was white. I hope that was not the issue. Also, I hear alot of complaints about the time factor and how long it takes for the rounds. I have been involved in racing for 15 years and have been to many tracks. I think first off if you want people to come and race, ask them what they want to make them keep coming. If you want people to come and watch and spend money, then find out what it will take to make that happen. I have seen many tracks close down because they were not pulling in the money that they should and I dont want that to happen with Lakeland. I am not trying to offend or make anyone mad but I am just stating what I feel needs to be said. We are in a horrible economy right now. There are more racecars for sale today than there were a few years ago at this time. I have seen a few things lately that are good, but let me say this, 'I want to have a local dragstrip that I am able to go to and enjoy a good race or test and tune and when I finish my car I want a place I can race at. The main thing is to find out what it is that will keep the people coming back. There is no sense in people leaving before the race is over just because it takes soooooo long to check the track, or to get the cars in the staging lanes or whatever it is that makes people leave before the race is over........

They have a ton of issues going on that many people would hope they will resolve. From their timing system, to the people they use to promote events. Most people I know have abandoned lakeland all together and moved on to other places such as that new track in Orlando.
