Just to hit on your questions, then I have to head to the track...

Shutdown is right around 1,010-1,020ft, I appologize for not having the exact figure...

Quick 16 has been going on a few weeks now, started up with little to no notice to racers. First week was a full field, last 2 weeks they have not been.

Top Qualifier is usually high 4 Sec. for these first 3 weeks.

Bump Spot was 7.20ish the first week we had the full field.

Website Ladder WILL BE UPDATED the day after races from now on.

Sorry I don't have more time, but headed into work now. Anymore questions prior to event tonight(if we don't get rained out), call me at 813-863-1145, otherwise call the track line at 863-984-1145
    Sincerely,
    Patrick

    Q16

How much longer are you gonna have the Q16 with not getting enough cars to make a full field? You had more of a car count with the Pro/Super Pro class going didn't you? Is it possible to have both maybe for a week just to see what the car count ends up? Or maybe do a quick 8 and run the combo class as well? Just a idea? I would like to come back and race but the car just doesn't like the pro tree?

    Pontiac/Chevy man

Hi, This is the starter ,Craig. I have had a number of new racers wanting to run at our track, that has asked me what the shut down is here at Lakeland. Me & Jerry who works the staging lanes measured it about 6 months ago with a wheel. It is over 1300 ft to the last turn off. We have had light weight 4.50 et cars run with not a problem. Some racers who might have had problems stopping , is because they don"t know where the finish line is to start there braking. The last orange cone in center of track is the finish line & the E.T. . The first orange cone is your MPH. Hope this helps you all out. We hate pulling you all out of the woods at the end. LOL Have a nice Xmas & new year. We will see you at the track. Remember we are open year around. Congrads. to Bob Alexander for winning the Q 16 this Sat. night.

I should have my diff repaired in a couple of weeks. I'll be massaging the body for paint by Jan but I don't need paint to run. I'm willing to take the car back out before painting to participate in this show of support/race. I'll be tracking this forum plus talking to craig who lives accross the street from me for more info. Let's get together for a big show in 2010. This will seperate the racers who want to support the track no matter what program they run from the complainers who just care about themselves.

How can a track lose money on every race? If the pay was $500 to the winner there would be more than 16 bracket cars. More cars = more fans. They could care less if you call Q16 or what. The only things that get big crowds is heads up cars so you are just running off the racer who whats to race by limting the size of the feild to 16. Would you spend a $100 or mor eto go to a football game and sit out side and not get a ticket to get in? Same thing with the Q race. Nobody has a problem with cars showing up to race. The new track in Orlando had more cars at there first Bracket race than any Q race you have had since the first one. There are people on there forum begging for a bracket race.

if everybody been begging for a regular bracket race????????? where have they been for the last year??????? the car count is no diffrent now then it was before . the big diffrence is in the four q-16 races they have run there have been 4 different winners and by the the way none of the BIG THREE. WHO HAVE BEEN IN THOSE RACES . BUT THE ONLY GUY WHO HAS BEEN COMING BACK IS THE OLE MAN HIMSELF HAVE WON HE SAID HIS CAR DOES NOT LIKE PRO TREE EITHER BUT YET HE WAS SICK HIRED GUN PUT CAR IN THE FINALS AND HES BEEN CLOSE SO IS IT THE PRO TREE THE LADDER MEANING YOU HAVE NO CHOICE WHO YOU RACE OR SOMETHING ELSE AND AS FAR AS THE NEW TRACK IN ORLANDO POST THE PAYOUT ____________ NUMBERS ARE NUMBER I KNOW WHAT IT WAS AND OWE BY THE WAY NO FAST CARS THERE EITHER //////CHECKMATE///////// I LOVE BRACKET RACING BEEN A BRACKET RACE ALL MY LIFE YOU GUYS THAT WANT A //////NORMAL BRACKET RACE////////// SHOW UP ------GET TOGETHER----PROVE YOUR POINT----------THEN I AM SURE YOU WILL PROBABLY GET WHAT YOUR ASKING FOR BUT WHAT THE DIFFRENCE IF YOU GUYS DO NOT COME AND 5 TO 10 MORE SHOW UP GUESS WHAT CAR COUNT THE SAME PAYOUT OUT THE SAME. READ MY POST ON ROBS COMMENT THERES YOUR CHANCE SO ALL YOU BRACKET RACERS WANT A BRACKET RACE START POSTING YOUR CAR NUMBER AND NAME AND PROVE A POINT. ARE THERE SIXTEEN OF YOU OR IS THERE ONLY TWO OR THREE REMBER THERE IS STRENGTH IN NUMBERS I LIKE BOTH FORMATS BUT I WILL BE GLAD TO ONE OF THE SIXTEEN AND ONE OF THE QUICK RACE IF I CAN MAKE THE FIELD SO HOW ABOUT IT BALL IS IN YOU BRACKET RACERS COURT

    It's all bracket racing

The only difference is the tree and the fact that the race is limited to 16 cars. But that doesn't matter cause I've only seen a full field once. I can see the track trying something new since the regular bracket racing program was not growing. Mostly the same racers showed up every weekend and mostly the same winners also. The field is still about the same but the game is being played under different rules therefore different winners. Don't forget that the pot is being divided different also. Semi final guys at least get some of their expenditures back. Something is better than nothing. I like the Q-16 and hope it grows although I've been a .500 tree bracket racer for the last 35 years. Since I'm at the slow end of the Q-16 field most of the time, that means that I may not qualify at times. So what. I can always run the no box race. Who knows, I may be able to adapt to both and become a better racer. I won't know if I don't try. See ya at the track and keep the shiney side up

At the new track they paid $500 to win. And there was a 5.40 Vega a 5.70 Camaro and a 5.90 Camaro A dragster that goes 4.80 a dragster that goes 4.90. The 4.80 car left because he said he could not get down the track but he ran early and the track was cold The people begging for the bracket race are doing it at the new track. They will be releaseing they new Schedlue some time this month. They are going to run the Summit Super Series.
