i live in goldsboro NC. not far from where you lived, just 1 hour south . did you ever race at dunn benson or kingston raceway when you lived here ? lived in port charlotte for three years until the storms in 2004. raced at bradenden alot. really enjoyed the snowbird nats each year and test and tune watching the pro stocks practice in jan, feb for gainsville. were visiting sun center in two weeks, thanksgiving weekend. hope to move there. don't have a race car anymore, just a new toyota tundra 385 hp truck. maybe to run in street bracket class. a friend of mine used to run a pro mod at emockalee. the car was a stingray vette called flashback if you ever heard of it. his dad was a polition in port charlotte back then. i'll check back on the forum once in awhile to see whats happening. thanks for the reply..........RON WILLIAMS

Ron, I retired from the Air force at Goldsboro in 93. I went to work for the Sheriff's office in Pitt Co. I raced all the tracks in that area Kinston, Dunn Benson, New Bern, Jax, and others. I've been at Lakeland now for 5 years although I lived in the area before. You'll enjoy the layed back atmosphere at Lakeland since it's privately owned and not sanctioned. You'll be coming down just in time for the Turkey trot race at Sunshine Dragstrip in St. Pete. Be sure to visit Lakeland on a Saturday nite and run the snot out of that toyota.
